Been a Hot Minute

Hi, everyone. It's been a hot minute since my last post. We are busy settling into the new place, and it's beginning to turn into home. There has been some drama, and a little of it scary, but it's getting better.

First we'll start off with Gia's first ever girl scout meeting. I was running a little late, but the girls made name tags with the girl scout symbol with rainbow yarn. They were really cute.

Then they got into the normal circle and introduced themselves.

Then they completed a task to help get to know the other girls. I felt like I had to take over the task because if you don't get their attention you'll lose them quick. It could be way more organized, but the girls had so much fun I think. I think it will get better and better.

I wish I could say I had some cub scout stuff to write on, but it's been a month since the one and only real meeting. With a $88 uniform in his closet he better be able to use it!!!

Speaking of that $88 uniform. I surprised Dylan with picking him up early Friday and taking him to Meridian to the official Boy Scout office to purchase his own uniform. That boy was something proud. I'll post a pic once I get the badges on there.

While in Meridian we stopped by the Spirit Halloween store for some thrills.

Gonna try to get the youtube versions up on this blog if they will ever post. :-)
Got Dylan some vampire teeth, but Gia decided she wanted to bungy jump, and I paid $7.00 and basically all she got to do was jump on a trampoline. So unfair. The lady put zero effort into it.

Other stuff that happened was Evil or Hero Day at school. Gia decided to be a glamour witch...yeah that's Gia for you. lol and Dylan was a ninja turtle. :-)

Well that should have you caught up. The only really bad thing that has happened is that someone tried to break into the apartment through Gia's window. Cracked it but they didn't get in. I'll have to report it and hopefully get it fixed. We like where the apartment is located and we have decent neighbors. Gia lucked up and her best friend from school is right across from us. Dylan is making friends as well. They are a little older, but I think that will be good for them.

Today, they get out early for fall break. So they'll be out for the rest of the week. Gia is gone on a field trip to Lazy Acres a pumpkin patch. I can't wait to get home to hear all about that. I think the next few days we'll finish unpacking and settling in. Soon, there will be Halloween, and then basketball will start. This year will be Gia's first year to play. It's gonna be great. I really can't wait to have our first Thanksgiving and Christmas at "HOME".

More later...Be Blessed!
